I've cut back on resolutions to compensate for a total lack of willpower, but one of the things I've decided to do in 2014 is to post in my journal every. single. day. A couple of you who know me well are probably rolling your eyes about now...and you're right. I'm not exactly known for my consistency. But I've been meaning to post more often and this seems like a good way to get in the habit. Hopefully, I won't bore the shit out of you.

The story starts out very promisingly, pulling fans into the mystery right away. The characterization is very good. The author really has an ear for the characters' quirky back-and-forth exchanges - at times I could almost hear the actors' voices saying the words in my head. Unfortunately, the plot fails to live up to its early promise and winds up coming off a bit thin. If, however, you're in need of a quick Ten/Rose fix, this could be just the book for you.
